Yesterday, Sunday, May 19 of this year, the census of the military parade was successfully concluded, with an inauguration ceremony in the neighboring Argentine municipality of Salvador Maza, organized by the COA Tucán, lasting 3 days. May 16 to 19.
The Biochaco foundation collaborated jointly with the participation of two nature photographers for the census registration (Erico Segovia and César Pizarro).
The census points in the municipality of Villa Montes were: Peña Morada and el narrow (La Mara area).
The census had several actors such as: Scientists, Biologists, Ornithologists, Naturalists, Photographers, Park Rangers, Students.
Groups of 4 people were formed (technician, planner, photographer and guide).
In the narrow area called La Mara, several species of parrots could be observed and recorded, such as: yellow-winged parakeet (Brotogeris chiriri), dirty-faced parakeet (Pyrrhura molinae), aratinga nitrata (Psittacara mitratus), talking parrot (Amazona aestiva) , parabachi (Primolius auricollis) and the main objective the military paraba (Ara militaris boliviana).

The population census of the military paraba allows us to obtain data that is essential for the study of the evolution of the population. Likewise, it is used to calculate specific rates of the characteristics investigated in flow statistics.
Likewise, they can bring us closer to understanding the state of ecosystems.
