Birdwatching on Pilcomayo Island and Costanera

TOUR REVIEW:

It is located in the peri-urban area of ​​the city of Villa Montes, Tarija. It is 18 hectares long, with approximately 180 birds recorded throughout the year, including urban, peri-urban, resident, southern and boreal migratory, aquatic, and raptor birds.

ITINERARY

We started the tour very early in the morning at 5:30 am from La costanera (Park of the Birds) La Paz street heading east, we walked approximately 1100 meters observing and recording birds, and then entering the “Isla del Pilcomayo” through trails Head west and return to the starting point on the coast ending approximately 10 am. In the afternoon we repeat the same route to continue adding more birds (optional).
